Not only is she an awesome 5th grade teacher, Ms Soccodato is also a competitive ballroom dancer – hence this cake for her birthday this year.

I copied an image she had given me of her and her dance partner Delyan in action and created a runout in royal icing.  Once I’d made the cake – triple layer chocolate and vanilla sponge – and covered it in white fondant, I transferred it (very carefully!!) on top.

Ms Soccodato was very happy, as you can see in this shot.  So were 5S!
